Gaining tips for more weight

Do you tend to skip meals, or eat lots of fruit and vegetables, but consume little meat and dairy products? These factors might contribute to the fact that you struggle to gain weight.

In the first article we had a look at rapid metabolic turnover, very high stress levels, problems with absorption, hyperactivity, and excessive exercise, and suggestions on how you can handle these problems in order for you to gain weight.

In this article we will concentrate on the following causes of underweight:

  • Eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia,
  • Hyperthyroidism,
  • Depression,
  • Wasting illnesses,
  • Inadequate dietary intake - eating too little per se, and

Tips to counteract these factors

Eating disorders
Eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia are more prevalent that one thinks. Many young people, especially teenage girls and young women, suffer from underweight because they have border-line eating disorders.

Eating Strategy to Gain Weight

Food that can give you the right calories

Breads
